About Sherri

Sherri is passionate about teaching and helping her students grow as musicians and individuals.  She believes that life is about constant growth and improvement.  She loves to explore and learn new things to, not only, improve her teaching and her studio, but also herself. Sharing her music is another of Sherri’s joys.  She loves to accompany school choirs, play for church services and nursing homes and play her flute.

As an active member of the Iowa Music Teachers Association (IMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Sherri’s students have successfully participated in District Festivals and Auditions, as well as State Piano Auditions.  She enjoys the many opportunities provided by membership in IMTA including connecting with other teachers, sharing ideas, and learning from the many helpful topics presented at monthly meetings.

When Sherri is not teaching, playing the piano, researching, or creating for her studio, you can find her enjoying time with her husband, Steve, and three children.  She also loves to spend time with her friends, garden, exercise, and enjoy nature.
